Although there is no mention of Cybill or "Moonlighting" anywhere in this issue, the January 1986 Esquire look back at the year 1985 has Cybill on the cover. I have always speculated that the "dubious acheivement" referred to is her appearance at the 1985 Emmy Awards in this dress but with orange hi-top reeboks. That appearance got a lot of fashion criticism at the time.
